Plastic molding types is basically done using two types of polymers –thermoplastics and thermos sets. Thermoplastic are mold-able and so can be reshaped. Thermos sets are not mold-able so they retain their shape. In extrusion process, raw plastic is fed from a hose into a melting chamber. The heat melts the plastic and it is then filled into a cold mold and on cooling it solidifies into the shape of the mold which is then removed.
