Things made out of plastic need to worry only for direct contact with fire, otherwise, they last for a very long time as they do not break or wear and tear. Plastic can be literally molded into any sort of shape and size and that is why almost every product has some plastic in it.

We can see the usefulness of plastic once we enter a super market. Food items can be seen sealed in plastic wraps which keeps them fresh as they are air and water proof. Another important reason why plastic is opted for packaging is because of its light weight. Fizzy drinks which were trending in glass bottles are now transformed into light weight and yet durable plastic bottles.

This saves thousands of dollars in just the transportation charges. Neighborhoods too can be kept glass free as broken glass can hurt badly whereas plastic bottles can be disposed safely. There was a threat that plastics would pollute the earth and it was proving true in some places. Today all countries of the world are cautious on the use of plastics and there has been much awareness on how recycling plastic is a great way to prevent pollution.

Objects made out of plastics are usually molded. It is hard to believe how the plastic articles we use were once in liquid form when they were being made. Plastic injection molding is the process undergone by plastic objects. Hot liquid plastic is injected via a device into the molds and they are allowed to cool down. If any color is to be added, it is done when the plastic is molten. The molds also have text which gets printed onto the plastic objects and looks like engraving.

Plastic automotive fasteners are small and durable plastic parts which act as a lining for various automobile parts. This is how we know how invaluable the presence of plastic is. Without plastic a lot inconvenience would have prevailed in the world. Plastic is also known to float on water and lifeguards use equipment made out of plastic to save anyone from drowning. Military tactical vests are also made out of parts of plastic which act as a shield against stray bullets. It would not be fair to neglect the significance of plastic today.
